Much better than previous Age of Empires. Vast attractive and very nice gameplay. Age of Empires 3 has clearly won the battle for graphical supremacy, for all its improvements elsewhere, it to win the war for RTS dominance. The home city feature and card shipments really improved the variety of the game. I believe this has very new units and new mapmaking options, but because of the similarity and repetitiveness of campaign to that of predecessors. Great expansion package, Graphics are stunning for 2005 and it also requires a very weak system. The campaign is nice. This is the definition of Real Time Strategy and this game has the best of it.

Age of Empires 3 without the expansions, but had lost it a while back. It wasn't my favorite game at the time, but I thought I'd give it another go. A wonderful game while not quite as good as Age Of Empires 2 it is still worthy to bear the name Age Of Empires and mowing down hordes of enemies flinging them across the screen not sparing a single villager.

I'd played the first two games and Age of Mythology, which I loved, but it seemed to get a little less interesting and a little overly complex with each game came out. This game is highly entertaining for a RTS which I generally avoid. I wish Microsoft would take this franchise in a turn-based direction. I don't like rushing or trying to beat the clock I do that all day at work.
