This game is the best in its genre. The details in the environments are wonderful reminders of just how intricate the world really. The engine was a wonderful leap from the previous engine we saw in Oblivion and the Fallout series. In previous Bethesda games they made a sad balance in between Questing, and Exploration. The freedom, the scope, and the environment are great. The graphics are beautiful. Skyrim was a welcome breath after the much loved, much played Oblivion.

This game truly is amazing it deserves game of the year, There are flaws just as in any game but its no reason to give it a score of 0, because your a troll. This game is a must own for any The Elder Scrolls fan, RPG fan and gamer in general. The immersion is amazing, the environment is vast, changing and beautiful, sure the graphics are not exactly top of the range but honestly, ive never felt for a moment that the graphics detract from the immersion.

The atmosphere and art direction coupled with the ambient sounds and music are used to great effect, really immersing you in this cold northern landscape full of beautiful. It is easily the best RPG I have ever played, and one of the best I have ever played period. Though none of the Elder Scrolls since Morrowind have yet captured the full extent of the magic that made Morrowind so great, Skyrim has been a huge push in the right direction.
